Opera Gallery is pleased to announce the international representation of French artist Jean Charles Blais and looks forward to dedicating a monographic exhibition to him.

The exhibition, titled "Spring/Summer," will take place in the Parisian gallery from May 26 to June 15, 2023. It will showcase Blais' latest creations, which feature paintings on the reverse side of posters that resemble enormous notebooks. The artworks depict silhouettes torn between embrace and escape, surrounded by an environment tamed by plants, leaves, and tree roots. The exhibition will also feature Blais' artistic repertoire and depictions of the human body, which have been influenced by Henri Matisse and Philip Guston. Visitors can expect to see modern and audacious forms that are both unique and elusive.
