Hermann Nitsch - Tribute

During the last years of his career, Hermann Nitsch developed an extraordinarily vibrant and increasingly colorful style of painting, always closely connected with his performances and the places where he practiced. He was fascinated by Monet’s Nymphéas (Water Lilies), to which he paid tribute at the Musée de l’Orangerie whenever he visited Paris.  To honor this influential artist, an exhibition featuring a selection of later paintings and graphic works, chosen directly in the artist’s studio, is scheduled at the Musée de l’Orangerie from October 11th, 2023, to February 12th, 2024.
